WiP — This page is under review by our counsel. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on thedecidedorg.com, and how you can manage them. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember your preferences, keep you signed in across pages, and help us understand how the site is being used. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser; others persist for a fixed period.
The cookies we use
We use a small number of cookies. They fall into two categories: essential (required for the site to function) and analytics (used in aggregated form to understand which pages are useful). We do not use advertising cookies. We do not sell cookie data.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| _tdo_session | Maintains your session while you take the Self Assessment | Session | Essential |
| _tdo_consent | Remembers your cookie preferences | 12 months | Essential |
| _ga / _ga_* | Google Analytics — aggregated visitor statistics | 13 months | Analytics |
| _plausible / pa_* | Plausible / privacy-friendly analytics (cookie-less mode where possible) | Session | Analytics |
If we change our analytics vendor, this table will be updated.
How to manage cookies
You can accept, decline, or change your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can also disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will affect the Self Assessment experience.
Do Not Track
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where it is sent. We do not currently respond differently to legacy Do Not Track headers because there is no industry consensus on how to interpret them.
Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy. The “Effective” date at the top will reflect the current version.
